THE WINERY GMEINBÖCK
In November 2018, we moved to our new premises in Poysdorf. When planning the building, it was important to us to keep our ecological footprint to a minimum. Thus, renewable resources were primarily used as building materials. Additionally, we derive our electricity from a photovoltaic system, and our basement system is cooled exclusively through natural ground cooling.
THE CELLAR
In our new cellar facility, we have enough space as well as the technical facilities to create our fabulous wines. Our ground level access facilitates the quick and clean processing of the grapes. Before pressing the grapes, we leave the mash to itself for a while to extract all the flavor from them. The subsequent fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks brings out the varietal and authentic character of the wines. In this way, we bring the quality from our vineyards unadulterated into the bottle and prove that tradition and innovation are not mutually exclusive.
TASTINGS AT THE WINERY
Our showroom is the heart of our new winery – a place to taste, linger, and feel good. With various design elements, we pick up cornerstones from viticulture: the rope suspensions represent the climbing aids for the vines and the oak panels stand for the curved staves of our wooden barrels. In this way, the process of wine making is symbolically played out before the eyes of our visitors.
